Celebrating a quarter-century!

Plot twist: my girlfriend and I have birthdays which are two days apart!¹ According to Google’s AI Overview, Capricorns are allowed to date each other. Thank goodness.

Still, even if the stars and the moon are okay with us being together, the holiday season can prove challenging - we have a LOT going on from Christmas all the way through MLK Day. Making sure that we give each other the birthdays that we both want requires some planning.

That’s why I’m taking off from work today! Nadia and I are going to wake up late, have a nice lunch, and then head downtown to walk around, grab a few margs, and enjoy the time together. Hopefully, it doesn’t feel like it’s 5 degrees outside.

Of course, a shout-out to the birthday girl is in order: Nadia, you are a great girlfriend, a kind person, and (most importantly) an amazing friend. I can only hope that my sign makes you feel about as special as you make me feel on the daily. (Praying that the Promposal vibes don’t ruin it.)

Hopefully, she sees the sign before she reads this post tomorrow. And yes, I know “birthdae” is normally spelled with a “Y”. Ask the stupid sticker people why they would only include one “Y” in a pack. Absurd.

Personally, I can’t wait for the Week of Birthdays to kick into high-gear! You can expect at least one more post this week with some pics from the various celebrations.
